Systems Engineer Functional Safety

- Define and manage functional safety requirements across system components
- Support compliance with safety standards (e.g., ISO 26262, ASIL levels, ASCE 21)
- Conduct hazard and risk analysis (HARA), FMEA, and fault tree analysis
- Collaborate with project and software teams to design safety-related features
- Lead safety validation and verification efforts
- Coordinate with third-party assessors and certification bodies
- Document safety concepts and ensure traceability throughout the project lifecycle
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or similar
- 3+ years experience with functional safety in automotive or robotics
- Knowledge of safety standards (ISO 26262, IEC 61508, ASIL, ASPICE)
- Experience with safety lifecycle activities, risk assessments, and verification
- Familiarity with safety tools (Medini, Safety Architect, etc.) is a plus
- Analytical thinker with a proactive mindset and attention to detail
- Team player with strong documentation and communication skills
- Help design the safest autonomous systems in the industry
