As a Structural Engineer Construction, you will be responsible for designing, calculating, and assessing structural solutions for a wide variety of construction and industrial projects. You will work on projects from the initial concept phase through to completion, ensuring that structures meet all relevant standards, safety requirements, and sustainability goals. Your work will include structural analyses, dimensioning calculations, reinforcement calculations, and the development of detailed engineering models.You will regularly visit project sites to perform inspections, collect data, and assess existing structures. In addition, you will collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and clients to develop practical and innovative solutions. You will review structural models and calculations, participate in coordination meetings, and contribute to technical decision-making throughout the project lifecycle.Depending on your experience level, you may also guide junior engineers and provide technical input on complex structural challenges. Projects include landmark buildings, industrial facilities, and large-scale renovation and construction projects.Jouw werkzaamheden
Your responsibilities and key activities as a Structural Engineer Construction include:
- Designing and calculating steel, concrete, timber, and masonry structures;
- Preparing structural, dimensioning, detail, and reinforcement calculations;
- Developing and reviewing 2D and 3D structural models;
- Conducting site inspections and structural assessments;
- Coordinating with multidisciplinary project teams;
- Reviewing calculations and models prepared by third parties;
- Participating in technical and project coordination meetings;
- Monitoring project planning, quality, and budget requirements.

What we expect from you to qualify for the function as Structural Engineering Construction:
- A completed Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Construction Engineering;
- Relevant experience as a Structural Engineer;
- Experience with structural analysis and design software;
- Knowledge of current building regulations, standards, and construction methods;
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail;
- VCA certification or willingness to obtain one.
