Senior Engineer Steel Outfitting Outer Decks

As an Engineer specializing in Steel Outfitting for outer decks, you will play a key role in the design and engineering of ship outer decks, lifeboat decks, and anchor & mooring arrangements. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring the structural integrity, functionality, and ergonomic design of these critical areas, collaborating closely with your engineering team.Key Responsibilities:• Performing engineering tasks using advanced 2D and 3D CAD tools such as Cadmatic or 3DExperience (Catia). • Ensuring that all designs comply with regulatory standards and customer specifications. • Producing detailed documentation, including layout plans, fabrication drawings, mounting instructions, and calculations.

• A relevant secondary vocational education (MBO-4+) in an outfitting-related discipline. • At least two years of experience in engineering outfitting systems, with a focus on maritime or offshore industries. • Proficiency in 2D and 3D CAD systems, specifically Cadmatic or 3DExperience (Catia). • Solid knowledge of Class and statutory regulations, as well as outfitting systems used in shipbuilding or offshore projects. • Strong command of the English language, both written and spoken.Additional Requirements• Excellent references, as a security screening is part of the hiring process. • Permanent EU citizenship and passport are required. Candidates with EU (work) visas or dual EU/non-EU nationality are not eligible due to project-specific security requirements.
