Proposals Manager ILS

As the Proposals Manager for Integrated Logistic Support (ILS), you will be responsible for leading and managing the ILS team within the Proposals department, ensuring the efficient and high-quality delivery of proposals for naval vessel programs. You will play a crucial role in refining and optimizing the proposal process while encouraging collaboration across departments such as Engineering, R&D, and Purchasing. Your expertise will be key to the success of the proposal process, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and client specifications.Key Responsibilities:• Leading, coaching, and developing the ILS team to ensure high performance and ongoing skill development. • Strategically planning and distributing resources, tools, and expertise to enhance team professionalism. • Overseeing the creation of high-quality proposal documents, ensuring they are delivered on schedule and within budget. • Promoting cross-departmental cooperation with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth proposal development. • Offering expert ILS advice and support to tender teams throughout the proposal preparation process. • Reviewing and validating proposal content related to ILS, ensuring it meets quality and regulatory standards. • Identifying opportunities for process improvement, cost savings, and efficiency enhancements. • Representing the company in customer and industry interactions, acting as a key point of contact. • Continuously improving the retention and transfer of departmental knowledge.

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical field, along with at least seven years of relevant experience in ILS and proposal management, ideally in naval shipbuilding. • Strong expertise in developing proposals for complex projects. • Proven leadership experience, with a track record of managing and coordinating high-performance teams. • Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management abilities. • Key competencies include customer focus, leadership and coaching, results-driven approach, strategic planning, negotiation, and decision-making. • Proficiency in both written and spoken Dutch and English, with German as a plus. • Excellent references, as a security screening will be part of the hiring process. • Permanent EU citizenship and a valid passport are required. Candidates with EU work visas or non-EU citizenship are not eligible due to the nature of the projects.
