Operations Manager

What your week will look like as an Operations Manager
• Lead daily operations within your rotational shift, ensuring safe, compliant and reliable execution of dispatch and related activities
• Steer performance through KPIs and data insights, reviewing results, identifying root causes and driving corrective and preventive actions
• Drive LEAN, continuous improvement and process standardization, ensuring scalable and consistent operational execution across all areas
• Coach and develop Warehouse Managers and their teams, including training, performance management and succession planning
• Plan and allocate staffing, workload and resources across shifts while maintaining strong collaboration with internal departments and the customer
• Ensure a safe, inclusive and engaging work environment, maintain accurate documentation and procedures, and contribute to GXO’s environmental and sustainability goals
• You regularly meet and align with the Head of Operations, to whom you directly report, ensuring clarity on strategic priorities, performance expectations and operational execution
What we are looking for
• A bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain, engineering or business, supported by strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• At least 5 years of experience in a complex, high-volume supply chain or warehousing environment, preferably with exposure to automation and multidimensional operations
• Proven leadership experience, including coaching, developing and managing large teams (50+), and the ability to influence effectively across all levels
• Strong communication skills in Dutch and English (French, German or Spanish are an advantage), with the ability to build relationships and collaborate in an international environment
• A proactive, resilient and results-driven mindset, able to perform under pressure while maintaining a high standard of quality and professionalism
• Strong analytical, financial and reporting skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable decisions and drive continuous improvement
• Broad technical and process understanding, combined with a willingness to keep developing yourself and deliver high-quality service to internal and external customers
