- Diagnoses and corrects equipment problems.
- Calibrates and aligns equipment.
- Completes preventative maintenance activities.
- Checks sizing of components and parts.
- Specifies, requisitions, and installs parts and equipment.
- Coordinates maintenance spare parts.
- Assists in planning, prioritizing, and scheduling maintenance through planner, work coordinator and operations input.
- Sets up and calibrates, tests, measures and repairs all types of controls and instruments with pneumatic, electrical, and electronic variables.
- Repairs, maintains and installs equipment and machinery which is used in the process.
- Troubleshoots and repairs malfunctions and documents failure analysis.
- Collects equipment operation and history data to facilitate reliability improvements.
- Works within established Maintenance Work Processes and helps resolve issues that surface as a result of planning and scheduling work.
In addition to the tasks mentioned above, you master all basic techniques required for repairing rotating equipment:
- Bearing technology, mechanical seals, measurement techniques, alignment, and load rigging/lifting techniques
- Always applies the correct repair procedures
- Using the above basic techniques, you are able to independently repair the following types of rotating equipment: single-stage centrifugal pumps, multistage centrifugal pumps, vacuum pumps, blowers, small steam turbines, positive displacement pumps, and gearboxes
- You have a technical MBO level 4 diploma, preferably in Mechanical Engineering, OR you have an MBO level 3 diploma with at least 3 years of relevant work experience
- Experience in maintenance is a plus, but not required
- You are fluent in Dutch; knowledge of the English language is a plus
- In receipt of VCA-VOL certificate or willing to obtain this certification (Nouvall will cover the costs)
